Recycling Food and Organic Waste
Raising awareness of what you can do to prevent the rise of food and organic waste.
Description
Food and organic waste is on the rise around the world. Globally, hundreds of millions of tonnes of this waste end up in landfills each year, which negatively affects the environment, biodiversity, and public health.
The goal of this course is to raise awareness about these issues and what you can do to help. By the end of this course, we hope that everyone can list the preferred steps of the waste hierarchy, identify different organic waste recycling options, and recognise commonly accepted items in the food and garden waste bin.
Features
- Understand how the waste hierarchy affects our decisions
- Identify which food items can or can't be recycled
- Know why some locations have different recycling requirements
