Noise Exposure
Ensure staff understand the risks of prolonged exposure to noise.
Description
An estimated 21,000 UK workers suffer from work-related hearing problems. Almost all these cases are completely avoidable with the correct control measures. People who work in noisy environments can be at risk of hearing loss, making exposure to noise a significant threat to health and safety if the correct procedures aren't followed. The aim of the course is to ensure employees and managers understand the risks of prolonged exposure to noise or sudden exposure to very loud noise, their rights and responsibilities around noise reduction and hearing protection, and their rights and responsibilities around monitoring and reporting noise and hearing loss.
