Working with the GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act
This course explains the key provisions of the GDPR and what organisations need to do to ensure they comply.
Description
On 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) set a new standard of data protection across Europe. Alongside the UK's 2018 Data Protection Act, the GDPR aims to ensure that any organisation that processes personal data does so responsibly. It sets out clear legal responsibilities for organisations that gather, store and use personal data, and clarifies the rights of individuals with regards to the data that's held about them. Since Brexit, the UK has maintained its own version of GDPR which holds UK businesses to the same standards of data protection.
