SRA Standards and Regulations: A Practical Overview
This refresher course breaks down cases where others have got it wrong, showing what the failing was, how it happened, and how it can be avoided.
Description
The SRA standards are seven principles representing the fundamental rules on ethical behaviour that the SRA expects everyone working in the legal profession to uphold. The principles must be upheld both inside and outside the work environment. This may also include in your private behaviour, including on social media. This refresher course doesn't repeat the material in the original courses, and any new joiners are still encouraged to complete the full version of our SRA: Standards and Regulations course. Drawing on dozens of decisions by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority, this course uses real life case law to highlight the seven SRA principles and accounts rules. The course also tackles the grey areas of the legal profession, exploring real life cases where it's not so clear cut what went wrong, in order to demonstrate to users the fine lines they want to steer far clear from. The course includes specially designed scenario questions based on recent judgments taken from various hearings involving the SRA at the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
