Living with HIV: A Guide for Employers
Foster a supportive environment for any employee who is living with HIV.
Description
Living with HIV has changed considerably since the epidemic began in the 1980s. Although still a chronic condition, when treated and managed with medication, people with HIV can lead as healthy and as fulfilling a life as anyone else. However, the stigma surrounding the condition remains significant, and the journey to wellness is not without its emotional and physical complications.
This course is designed to create awareness around the realities of living with HIV, from the possible side effects of the medication, to the mental health and emotional impact of a diagnosis – and offer guidance to employers in fostering a supportive and safe environment for any employee in their organisation who is living with HIV.
